TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS

Traffic Restriction Advisory: Effective September 7-10, 2006

Effective September 3, 2006, the following streets will be designated as "One Way Streets" for one week in order to expedite the influx of traffic created by the Harvest Home Fair:

Davis Avenue from Woodbine Avenue to Homelawn Avenue.

    ONE WAY NORTH:

  • Delmar Avenue from Homelawn Avenue to Woodbine Avenue.

    ONE WAY SOUTH:

  • St. Ann Place from North Bend Road to Davis Avenue.

    ONE WAY EAST:

  • Alma Avenue from Davis Avenue to Delmar Avenue.

    ONE WAY WEST:

  • Augusta Avenue from Boudinot Avenue to North Bend Road.
  • Hilda Avenue from Davis Avenue to North Bend Road.
  • Phoenix Avenue from North Bend Road to Boudinot Avenue.

The above listed streets are designated as ONE WAY STREETS by the Safety Service Director in accordance with ordinance #70.22. You may be liable for any accident if in violation of these temporary one way street designations and/or subject to a citation.

Also, be advised that on Thursday beginning at 5:15 p.m., North Bend Road, Harrison Avenue and Bridgetown Road leading into downtown Cheviot will be closed for the Harvest Home Parade. Traffic will be detoured at this time. These streets will re-open following the parade at approximately 9:00 p.m.

Parking restrictions will be in effect all day Thursday along the parade route as well as the parade staging areas on North Bend Road, Bridgetown Road, Frances, Lora, Robb, and Harrison Avenues.

There will be a drop-off point for participants of the parade at the Cheviot Field House on Robb Avenue.

Due to safety concerns in the business district and complaints from businesses, the city has placed a restriction on when chairs can be placed along the parade route. Chairs may not be placed before 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Any chair found before then will be moved off to the side of the right of way.
